Kuvaus
The seminar focuses on selected musculoskeletal, pulmonary, neurological and mental conditions, and cancer in the context of physical activity and exercise. Students prepare seminar contributions in which they critically appraise, synthesize, and communicate scientific evidence and evidence-based recommendations.
The seminar includes collaborative work, presentations, scientific discussion, and peer feedback. Detailed instructions on assignments and grading will be provided at the beginning of the course.Osaamistavoitteet
- identify, select, and critically appraise current scientific evidence and evidence-based recommendations on the role of physical activity and exercise in the prevention, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal, pulmonary, neurological and mental conditions, and cancer;
- synthesise and communicate scientific evidence clearly and appropriately for different target audiences, including peers, health professionals, and patients;
- engage in scientific discussion and provide constructive peer feedback.
