Kuvaus

The course introduces psychological and cultural perspectives to sound and music as experienced in gameplay.

Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of this course the student

● knows the main trends of the history of game music and sound

● recognizes roles and meanings sound and music have in game interaction and narration

● knows the main theoretical issues and paradigms around game audio, and can apply them in practice

● is able to formulate research questions suitable for the area
