APKO2003 Intercultural Classroom and Guidance (2 op)

This course is designed to equip educators and counselors with the essential skills and knowledge to foster inclusive, diverse, and respectful learning environments. The course blends theoretical frameworks with practical tools for navigating and guiding intercultural interactions in a variety of educational contexts.

Contents include:

• strategies for managing multilingual and intercultural classrooms and providing effective guidance that respects cultural diversities.
• enhancing student engagement, promote supportive relationships, and enable active participation and equality within learning groups.
• adapting teaching and guidance methods to better suit the needs of a culturally diverse student body.

On completion of the course, the student is expected to

• Understand cultural diversity and interculturality in education and guidance
• Implement inclusive teaching practices
• Provide culturally sensitive guidance and support
• Develop skills for identifying and addressing issues such as discrimination, and bias in educational settings.
