Content

The course covers theoretical approaches of self-regulation, empirical evidence on the factors associated with emotion-related phenomena, and self-regulation strategies aimed to enhance athletes’ performance and wellbeing.


 Mode of Study

Lectures (12 h) and practical demonstrations (12 h)


Evaluation

Active participation and completion of assignments (30%), exam (70%)

Osaamistavoitteet

On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • distinguish emotion related terminology and critically apply main theoretical frameworks.

  • identify relevant social and individual factors related to athletes’ experiences.
  • understand the principles underlying effective application of self-regulation strategies.
