Course description

EuropaForum language project is designed for learners of German, English, Spanish, or French aiming to improve their communication skills in a particular language by participating in online sessions with group work and discussions in a multicultural setting in that particular language. The course is organized within Forthem-Alliance and every calendar year focuses on one language, four separate online-sessions for spring and autumn semester.

2023: German

2026: Spanish

Key themes are:

• ·to foster intercultural dialogue,
• to raise knowledge and awareness about European values,
• to develop communication skills concerning interaction in a foreign language,
• to experience working and learning in multicultural teams

On completion of the course, the student is expected to

• Have gained more courage and confidence in speaking a particular foreign language.
• Have developed and used the skills and tools for interaction in a virtual and multicultural setting.
• Know how to function and contribute as an active member of a multicultural team.
• Reflect on their development of language, interaction and teamwork skills.

In order to receive 1 ECTS the student must actively participate in all four online sessions of the semester and return a learning diary.
