Course description

This is the first part of the intermediate course package to further develop students’ speaking skills in Chinese, helping students to speak more confidently about different daily topics. This intermediate course focuses on Chinese character learning and reading. More conversation practices will be continued. More Chinese characters from HSK 3, as well as useful grammar, will enable students to express themselves more fluently in Chinese.

• More vocabulary in Chinese character
• Conversation practices in pairs/groups
• Chinese intermediate grammars
• HSK level 3 exercises are practiced

• be able to communicate verbally about topics that matter to them in Chinesebe able to use appropriate Chinese vocabulary and phrases in everyday interactions
• be able to express themselves clearly in Chinese on familiar topics
• be able to read simple texts without the help of Pinyin.

• Both Finnish and international students are welcome.
• It is possible for students at this level to take the Chinese language proficiency test and obtain an official language certificate HSK level 2 and ideally, HSK level 3 (A2).
