After the course the student should:
• Know the basic mathematical concepts of representation theory
• Be able to apply the machinery to representations of finite groups
• Know the classification of complex semisimple Lie algebras and their real forms
• Understand their irreducible representations
• Be able to use representation theory in (particle) physics applications
