This independent study option (book exam) focuses on teaching and assessing pronunciation in foreign languages. Students will learn about current theoretical and practical perspectives into second-language pronunciation, which will equip them with knowledge applicable to teacher's profession.

After this course, students:
can explain key concepts and essential terminology related to second language pronunciation
have adopted a broad approach to pronunciation and oral skills as phenomena, understanding the importance of prosody for comfortable intelligibility
have familiarised themselves with a variety of techniques in teaching and assessing pronunciation
can apply current perspectives and research findings into teaching and assessing pronunciation
