Students will be familiarized with the theory and basic principles of ACT. Students will practice using ACT methods in group exercises and learn to apply ACT techniques in counselling and training settings.
Osaamistavoitteet
After completing the course, students will have a basic understanding of the general ACT therapeutic/training model and its application to a variety of situations and populations. In addition, students will be familiar with the principles and methods of ACT-based counselling and training. Students will be able to use some ACT techniques to support clients in counselling settings and training settings.

The course is offered in collaboration with the Master's Degree Programme in Psychology of Physical Activity, Health and Well-being. If a student includes this course in "Psykologian aineopinnot", one cannot include it in the Contemporary Intermediate Level Studies in Psychology (CIP) module.
