Kuvaus

The aim of this corse is to provide solid conceptual foundation and basic technical skills (using R) for the use of statistical modelling in ecological and evolutionary research. The course does not seek to be exhaustive of all techniques nor intensive in any given one. It covers both frequentist and bayesian approaches. Course aimed for Masters (and PhD) students.


Osaamistavoitteet

To acquire the tools and concepts for using statistics in research: 

(1) critical evaluation, 

(2) choice, 

(3) implementation (in R), 

(4) interpretation and (5) further independent learning of statistical approaches.
