Description

Do you have competences needed to work in a multilingual and international environment? Come to test and develop your skills! In various communicative tasks, the languages of communication are selected on the basis of the group's common language proficiency profile. During the course, each participant uses his / her entire linguistic repertoire and multicultural skills.
The course consists of multilingual oral and written assignments, where the student uses his/her linguistic and cultural competences in interactive group simulations and individual assignments. Students will test and evaluate their linguistic competence profiles through various multilingual and multicultural tasks.

Class and online activities.

Active participation and completion of assignments.


Learning outcomes

After completion of the course, the student should be able to

  • participate in multilingual communication using effectively one’s own linguistic repertoire, for example, switching smoothly from one language to another, as well as mediate between the interlocutors who are unable to understand each other
  • become aware of cultural impact on the interpretation of information and communication
  • analyze one's own communication from a cultural perspective
  • identify one's own personal learning needs

Description of prerequisites

Optional course aimed at the enhancement of multilingual and multicultural competence for all students, including the exchange students.

In addition to mother tongue, the knowledge (even partial) of two other languages.
