Description

Life-based design is a new design paradigm. It is based on an idea that the development of technology is ultimately improving the quality of life. Therefore, technology design should be based on high-quality scientific analysis of human life. The course book presents how life can be analysed and how basing on that analysis better technology can be developed.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student will know at a theoretical level, how to analyse human life for the design of technical artefacts. In addition to the basic concepts and methodologies of life-based design, the student will know the basic ideas of usability and user experience design in a profound way.

The course can be completed as part of advanced or doctoral studies.
