This study module examines how organizations manage investor relations and financial communications, especially when addressing important contemporary issues such as socially responsible investing, corporate governance, shareholder activism, and ethics. Students will gain an understanding of financial communication processes and practices during organizational change and crisis situations. Students also get familiar with integrated reporting and CSR reports.
This study module trains students to consider accountability and transparency in financial communication building thereby strong and legitimate organizations in accordance with UN sustainable development goals 15 Peace, justice and strong institutions, and 8 Decent work and economic growth. Moreover, it discusses Goal 9, Industry, innovation and infrastructure, and Goal 13, Climate action, in relation to shareholders’ and investors’ expectations towards ethical and responsible investments that support the achievement of these goals.Osaamistavoitteet
After completing this study module, student:
is familiar with the basic concepts of financial communication, investor relations, and risk management
is familiar with the legal regulations and ethical principles that guide organization’s financial communication
knows how to utilize perception audits and other measurement methods in financial communication

is able to conduct a annual plan for financial communication
has developed their argumentation skills
