Description

  • Thermal regulation of the body

  • Heat stress and hydration strategies during exercise

  • Cold exposure and exercise-induced physiological responses in the cold

  • Physiological responses to hypoxia

  • High-altitude training

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student is able to:

  • describe hot-, cold-, and high-altitude-induced physiological adaptations to bodily functions at rest and during exercise in-depth

  • describe the body's regulation mechanisms in hot and cold climate, as well as at high-altitude

  • critically read topic-specific literature

  • apply leaning to practice

Additional information
