TJTS5604 Ajankohtaiskurssi (Digitaaliset Palvelut) (1–5 op)
This course focuses on digital service research on a selected topical area (i.e. the selected topical area may change each time the course is arranged). The course literature is based on selected academic journals, conferences, researchers and/or institutions (to be defined later). The course includes critical examination and evaluation of contemporary research on the selected topical area. The idea is to give the students a broad understanding of the area. The academic goal of the course is to prepare students for doing research in the area of digital services.
After the course students will have good knowledge and understanding of the selected topical digital service research area; Students are able to acquire knowledge and read critically relevant research articles in some of the leading academic journals and/or conference proceedings; Students are able apply the selected conceptual tools, models and/or methods in practice.
The assessment criteria is defined annually as the course topic and the lecturer, and instruction format may change between years. For example, students typically prepare and participate classes, work on and deliver a group assignment, work on an individual assignment and/or take a final exam based on the course material. The assessment criteria and instruction format for the course is provided well in advance before the semester (or teaching period within the semester) begins.
This course assumes that you have completed your bachelor’s studies and you are currently doing your master’s or doctoral studies.
