Sisältö
Understanding and evaluation of the uncertainties involved in analytical measurements are the prerequisites of reliable results. The topic is important to anyone working with analytical methods, and especially in analytical laboratories. This course introduces the validation of analytical methods and the principles and different approaches in evaluation of measurement uncertainty and traceability. During the course, construction of a validation plan with some real-life examples will be discussed, as well as introduction to the MUkit measurement uncertainty software and its applications.
Suoritustavat
Attendance at lectures and demonstrations (min 80 %) and passed home assignment.
Osaamistavoitteet
The student understands the steps required in validation of analytical methods and knows how to evaluate the uncertainty of analytical measurements.
