Osaamistavoitteet
The course is a Web-based course in collaboration with Keio Unversity SFC Japan. Students will be informed when the course is open. The course has three modules. Each module is 2 cp. You can do one, two or all three modules - in this order.
After the Module 1, students understand the theoretical basis of the Mathematical Model of Meaning, its several applications in multimedia and WWW environments, and related future research issues.
After Module 1 + Module 2, students can apply the Mathematical Model of Meaning in “PostgreSQL” environment, design simple applications and carry out some calculations by herself/himself.
After Module 1 + Module 2 + Module 3, students can identify interesting and innovative research and development topics related to the Mathematical Model of Meaning and possibly extend these to their master/PhD thesis subjects.
