The focus of the course is sustainable water access and sanitation as a cross-cutting issue of the Sustainable Developmental Goals 2030. What is the significance of water access and sanitation, which are the current practices and technologies in use and how are the most vulnerable people as well as ecological sustainability taken into account? In addition, the themes of safety, technical feasibility, socio-economic aspects and ecological sustainability of alternative, non-traditional sanitation are covered during the course. One of the course aims is to provide a channel for water and sanitation experts and future professionals in different countries to exchange ideas and information.
