Content

• Active participation in research seminars, advancement of studies and research
• Expert tasks: planning, teaching and development work based on one’s own research in the departments and projects
• Societal service tasks: societally significant developmental work based on one’s own research and/or applicable university level pedagogical studies

Completion methods

• The studies typically consist of active participation in research seminars (doctoral seminar organized by one’s own supervisor or joint seminars)
• Trainings, gatherings or visiting lectures that support the development of being an expert and researcher – the student can negotiate the study attainment with the supervisor
Examples of evaluating the amount of study points
• Maximum of 3 ECTS/project – tasks of a project researcher or project assistant in the field of one’s own research topic
• 1 ECTS – preparation of new research projects and participating in the applying process
• Maximum of 2 ECTS – expert tasks involving one’s own research theme, for example teaching

Learning outcomes

After these studies the student
• is able to cooperate scientifically with other researchers
• has readiness to act as an expert on his/her research topic in scientific planning, teaching and developing tasks
• is capable of science-based pedagogical activity / he/she has university pedagogic knowledge
• possesses transferable skills acquired or updated during the studies (i.a. project management, leadership and subordination skills, people skills and Information and Communication Technology
